Here is the latest page from my online course with Donna Downey. For this one we were asked to use watersoluble crayons or pastels etc. and to moisten them with white acrylic paint. This enabled blending and made the surface more permanent.
As I was taking these shots I looked out of the window at the front garden and saw that the light was lovely. This was taken through the window glass.
Dorothy your roses and antirrhinums look lovely, different light can change a scene completely, I like the blue pages in your workbook, Frances
Hi Frances, thank you. The gardener has been very busy in the garden this week although that particular bed is one that hasn’t been done yet. I was more interested in trying to capture that lovely evening light. 🙂
The blue pages were fun to do.
Those marks on the page look interesting. What did you use?
The colours were inktense blocks and Neocolour II crayons. blended with titanium white acrylic paint instead of water. The dots were done with marker pens.
Great! Have you tried intense with baby oil?
No I haven’t… obviously need to have ago at that!
