AT THE OPTICIAN’S
I lost my reading glasses recently so had to go and get my eyes tested for new ones last week. It’s in what used to be a lovley old house and boasts this beautiful front door.
(somehow the date is wrong on this – should read 2nd July 2014!)
A WALK AROUND MY GARDEN
It was a lovely day here yesterday so I thought I would see how the plants were doing. This weather has made everything flower so well this year hasn’t it? I haven’t even had to water the pots much so far either.
Does anyone know what the pretty little pink flower in the bottom left phto is please? Click on the collage to enlarge as usual.
MY NEW JOURNAL
A few months ago my friend Ilze Smith brought a lovely journal to the guild to show us. I asked her if she would make one for me too. The only input I had was to say that I would like the theme to be Spring and Autumn, my favourite seasons. the rest was entirely up to her.
Here are some of the pages. So much to see. Lots of little pockets, frames, pop-ups, tassels. tags… the list goes on.

Another self setter. They seem to be popping up all over. Aren’t I lucky?
This flower has really collected the sunshine hasn’t it? I can’t remember it’s name.
The new begonias are doing well too. I especially like the one with the pink frilly edge.

Isn’t this poppy lovely? It’s a self setter, in entirely the wrong place but being beautiful it is allowed to stay. 🙂

Visited my Niece today she has a nice little dog called Molly and a pretty garden. here afe a few photos.

This is what I found in the garden today. I don’t know the names of the single ones, but the doubles are Albertine and Champagne Moment.
VISIT TO A LOCAL NURSERY
I had a nice surprise yesterday when my neice suggested we pay a visit to a local nursery for some new plants for the garden and for pots around the place. I had no idea what I wanted but enjoyed having a good look round. Of course I bought far more than I realsied I needed and now find that I still need more. 🙂
I had another stroke of luck when the gardener came and not only cut the lawn but planted most of the new purchases. 🙂
