These poppies are like huge tissue paper balls on a plate! This plant had 11 blooms on it at one point
Does anyone know what the name of this tree is? It is a variety of cherry…………….. I think from Australia originally. It has these fluffy blooms at this time of year and bunches of small inediable black fruit later.
It is about 12-15 feet high.
Could it be a flowering laurel? You have me curious now! :o)
Hi Ros, Thanks, yes someone else has suggested that. I will check it out but was told it was a cherry.
Lovely shots from your garden, Dorothy
Thanks Myfanwy.
Lovely post D. I’m no gardner as you should know by now, so can’t help with the tree.
Thank you M I’m beginning to think it may be the flowering bay as has been suggested. It is the same family as cherry so thta may be wher the confusion came in.
Cherry laurel is what you have I think? :o) Good job I remembered the name or I wouldn’t have slept especially in this heat. :o)
Ros I think you are right. I will try to check it out further. It’s been bugging me too. 🌺
