Does anyone know what the name of this tree is? It is a variety of cherry…………….. I think from Australia originally. It has these fluffy blooms at this time of year and bunches of small inediable black fruit later.

It is about 12-15  feet high.

      Hi Ros, Thanks, yes someone else has suggested that. I will check it out but was told it was a cherry.

      Thank you M I’m beginning to think it may be the flowering bay as has been suggested. It is the same family as cherry so thta may be wher the confusion came in.
